Arielle Kebbel appeared on The Vampire Diaries as Lexi, a 350-year-old vampire friend of Stefan and Damon. Though her role as the wise and beautiful vampire was short lived on the series, fans have proved Lexi to be a notable part of the show. Arielle was in Episode Nine, "162 Candles" . She unexpectedly shows up to celebrate Stefan's 162nd birthday. Her main purpose in the episode was to help Elena better understand her feelings for Stefan as a vampire. Before the episode reaches its end, Damon stakes Lexi after being set up to fit into his "diabolical plan.”
Despite the heartbreaking loss of Lexi, Arielle returns to The Vampire Diaries again in season two,'s "The Dinner Party,"
an episode which flashes back to the days she converted Stefan into all the "good parts," of a Vampire.
She landed the role of “Gilmore Girls”, Lindsay Lister, whom she portrayed in Seasons 3-5 on the series, soon after moving to L.A. She is best known for her roles in John Tucker Must Die and Univited and can most recently be found on TVD as Lexi and as Vanessa in 90210.
In her time away from acting, Arielle enjoys working with chariries:"A Place Called Home" and Defeat the Label. The blonde-haired, brown-eyed, actor
loves all types of music and has admitted to loving the popular video game, “Halo”. Arielle Kebbel can be seen in her upcoming
movies: “Brooklyn to Manhattan”, “Silver Cord”,
and “Mardi Gras”.

Arielle Kebbel Answers the Fans Most-Asked Question
Given the low expectancy of a life to death ratio on The Vampire Diaries, most guest stars go out as quickly as they came in without ever being given a second thought. As for Arielle Kebbel, on the other hand, she struck gold in the hearts of fans everywhere when she brought Lexi to life in one pivotal episode, during season one. We had the pleasure of speaking with the actress, who played Stefan's 350 year old vamp b.f.f, and it was apparent that Lexi has left just as tremendous of an imprint on Arielle as well. She gave us the scoop on what it's like to be Lexi, what's going on with her upcoming work and answers the ultimate question: Will we be seeing more of Lexi's younger years through flashbacks? Additionally, she stuck around for an amusing game of this or that!
The Vampire Diaries Fansite: As the actress behind the legend that is Lexi, how does it feel knowing
you have left such an enormous impacton so many lives in such a small amount of time?
Arielle Kebbel: I have to thank Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec for that. When I read Lexi’s first line, I
knew how much fun I was going to have. I’m honored to play such an influential character.
TVD Fansite: In 2010, you also made a guest appearance on True Blood. Is it safe to say you’re attracted to supernatural roles?
Arielle: It’s safe to say they’re attracted to me [laughs]. I definitely have a lot of fun playing in that
genre. True Blood Is a vampire based show, but I did not play a one in that episode. Sadly, I played a
human being whose natural flaws were, in some ways, were worse than those of the unnatural. Then, I
headed to ATL, popped in my teeth, and played on The Vampire Diaries. I love the opportunity to play in
both worlds. Both Sam and Paul are incredibly intelligent, logical and instinctual actors to work off of. I
enjoy my scenes with them…teeth or tongue.
TVD Fansite: Any chance we may be seeing you on
Kevin Williamson's new project, "The Secret Circle?"
Arielle: I would love to work with Kevin again. I worked with Britt Robertson on Life Unexpected, and I
adore her work pretty much in everything she does! As of now, I don’t have anything scheduled…
but I never say never!
TVD Fansite: What in your opinion is the worst aspect of your profession?
Arielle: I don’t look at it as the best and worst, I look at it like ups and downs. It’s a constant and
invigorating challenge to find the positive in anything that I do.
TVD Fansite: What is your fashionable guilty pleasure?
Arielle: My thing isn’t really a fashion accessory, (unless it is horse related) as much as it is finding new
businesses…particularly food. I love finding new spots and the details with family and friends. And, well,

TVD Fansite: Who inspires you in terms of life and career and what is one philosophy you attempt to live by?
Arielle: It’s been my goal recently to look around and be inspired by something new, on a daily basis. I
can get stuck in routines pretty easily. It’s challenging to run with something new.
TVD Fansite: Although we have been forced to mourn the loss of Lexi as well as some other favorites
over the course of the series, the incredible element of The Vampire Diaries is its ability to once again
acquaint us through flashbacks. [What was it like coming back on set a season later to film "The Dinner Party?"]
Arielle: The fun thing about flashbacks is it’s always a different era. Last episode I was transported into
the 1800’s -- the props, the costumes, and the dialogue were all wonderful to experience. Other
characters have all talked about Lexi, keeping her alive in spirit, but I actually have only appeared on the
show twice so far. The challenge I had was bringing ‘Lexisms” into the 1800’s and making it believable
yet identifiable so the fans would recognize her in that time period.
TVD Fansite: As far as charity goes, you have been associated with the Turn the Corner Foundation and
A Place Called Home, what other organizations are you involved in and what makes them special to you?
Arielle: Yes, Reach Back, LA, (http://www.reachbackla.org/index.html) I love that you asked that. That
was one of the first charities I worked with. Chico Brown started it, and I met him at a table read. Chico
is one of those people who could never give too much. He is literally flying around the country starting
up the next segment in this organization. He wants to help kids step away from crime and illiteracy and
teach them that they have the power to do what they want with their lives no matter their circumstances. I
am so proud to be a part of the organization. I have been to every Thanksgiving that they have and the
basketball games and at Christmas time we donate books to different schools downtown. It’s been a
blessing to have that in my life.
TVD Fansite: Thus far you've been very successful obtaining roles among very popular films and series.
In fact, within the first week of moving to Los Angeles you landed your first gig on The Gilmore Girls.
[How has this affected your confidence in terms of your abilities and do you have any upcoming projects in the works?]
Arielle: I was thrilled to jump onto Gilmore Girls. I love the show, I love the writing, and Jared’s not so
bad himself [laughs]. As far as my confidence goes, I think that goes back to staying true to who I am
everyday because that was seven years ago and I still have good days and I still have challenging days.
It’s important to remember I’m always going to face challenges; it’s just how I deal with them. As far as
my upcoming roles: I did an independent film called Brooklyn Brothers Beat the Best, Ryan O’nan
directed it and starred in it and Melissa Leo has a cameo. It was a great ensemble cast, including Michael
Weston, ………..and Wilmer Valderrama. Another coming to theaters and VOD before Christmas, I
Melt with You, that Mark Pellington directed and stars Rob Lowe, Jeremy Piven and Thomas James.

Here's what Arielle had to say about her on-screen BFF's blood binge and whether or not we will see Lexi again:
Arielle: Lexi is a fighter and lived through a lot of different circumstances, and overcame them...well most of them, the situation with Damon wasn't exactly a win for Lexi. She would do anything for Stefan and is fighting for his life, as well as his and Elena's love. She knows she's up against Klaus, and that she has limited time, but she'd always rather go out fighting. Stefan's life and their friendship is worth it -- even in the after-life.
In mystic falls- anything is possible. I'd love to "Lexi-fy" the town again soon... Ya just never know...
TVDF: We’re so happy to hear that! Shall we get started on this game?
Arielle: Sure.

On top of her already hectic schedule, Ms. Kebbel informed us, “I’m also diving into the world of writing and producing which is a very exciting new thing I’ve taken on. It’s proving to be just as challenging and rewarding as acting. When the time is right, I will gladly be talking more about it.”
Hmm, is there anything Arielle can’t do? One thing’s for certain, if her ability to write is as mesmerizing as her acting, we’re sure to be in for a major treat.
