Zach Salvatore played a small role in, “The Vampire Diaries”. He was the uncle/nephew of the Salvatore Brothers, Stefan and Damon. He was a member of the Founder’s Council and a vervain supplier. Damon killed Zach during the fifth Episode. Although Zach played a minor role, he still helped tell the story of the Salvatore Brothers.
Chris William Martin
Chris William Martin was born Christopher William Martin on January 17, 1975 in Burnaby, British Columbia to Chris William Martin and Victoria Kathleen Martin. He has an older sister Krista Martin. He was raised in East Vancouver until he was two and then moved to a small town called, Yarrow.
Chris began his acting career when he auditioned at an open casting call; he got the part as ‘Dylan’ in a teen drama called, “Fifteen” in 1991. The series aired for three years and Chris won a nomination for Best Actor at the Youth in Film Awards. After that series ended, Chris landed a role in another series called “Madison” in 1993. The series was critically acclaimed and Chris won a Gemini nomination for Best Actor.
Chris landed his first film role in Carl Bessai’s “Johnny” in 1999. For that film Chris won a Jury Citation for Outstanding Performance from the Toronto International Film Festival. Chris was also a part of Bessai’s next film, “Lola” in 2000. That movie was screened internationally in 2001 at film festivals.
Chris has made a few movies and appearances since then. He appeared in “Tom Stone” as Keri Russell’s love interest on CBC. After that he starred in TNT’s “Heartland”. In 2002 he appeared on a cooking show called “Table for two”. Recently, he has mainly just made guest appearances on shows.
Chris also has appeared in “Lincoln Heights”, “CSI: Miami”, “NCIS”, “The Terrorist Next Door”, “The Unquiet”, “Bones”, “Mentalist”, “Dollhouse” and of course “The Vampire Diaries”. Chris also starred in the “Alien vs. Predator” films.
This year Chris will also appear in the movie “Huge” as Jonathan, a movie based on the story of two girls at a weight-loss camp who falls for the same person. He also will be in “Fence Walker”, which is in post-production right now.
So even though Zach Salvatore played a minor character in “The Vampire Diaries”, Chris Martin is not!
