Matthew W. Davis, best known as, Matt Davis, was born on May 8, 1978 and as all we know he is an American actor, whose career has been recognize for a few years already.
He’s known for his role as, Warner Huntington III, the boyfriend of Elle Woods in the comedy, "Legally Blonde" (2001), also he has had other roles like, Matt Tollman in, "Blue Crush" (2002), Jim Paxton in, "Tigerland" (2000) and Sebastian in, "Blood Rayne" (2005). He was one of the actors from the movie, "Pearl Harbour" were he played Joe. As his roles on television concerned, Matt featured in the ABC drama, "What About Brian" , since 2006 until 2007 as Adam Hillman and now in 2010 appears in the CW hit, "The Vampire Diaries" as Alaric Saltzman.

A teacher by day and a hunter by night, that’s how we can call him since he surprised us with his story and his weapons to kill vampires. But let’s talk a little bit about his life.
Alaric arrived to Mystic Falls as a History Teacher after Mr. Tanner’s death (previous history teacher). Everyone was a little curious about this new character cause he had this mysterious attitude that intrigued everyone including our beloved vampires Damon and Stefan.
But everything began to get clearer when he showed his real profession, a vampire hunter, when he tried to kill Stefan once and after that failing mission, he let us all know his story and the reason why he’s in town, revenge, revenge against Damon for killing his wife Isobel, although that, technically, never happened cause actually Isobel was turned into a vampire.
As the story continues developing, Alaric became one of our favorite characters, not only cause we may think he looks really good as a hunter, but because of his attitude with Jeremy, his relationship with Elena’s aunt Jenna, because of the attitude he adopted with Stefan and Elena’s relationship and especially because of his “friendship” with Damon, and yes these two are a really good team together, even when Alaric still hates him.
Although the first season is over, Matt is more than grateful for being part of this cast and he describes his time on set as “Magical, any day at work where we all are together just hanging out are the best days. We are all so grateful that everyone is who they are, we all just fit perfectly together. It’s a rare honor to work with people you love so much.” Super cute huh? For sure we can’t wait to see what’s going to happen next season.
