  Paul Wesley is a main character on the current CW series, “The Vampire Diaries”. He plays vampire good-boy, Stefan Salvatore. Stefan is a vampire who was turned by Katherine in 1864. He has lived his life choosing not to drink human blood. After returning to the city of Mystic Falls, he goes to the local high school and caught the eye of Miss Elena Gilbert. The reason that Elena caught Stefan’s eye, is because the resemblance between Katherine and Elena is identical. Eventually Stefan gets very close to her and starts to date her. Paul was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey but grew up in Marlboro, New Jersey. He was born to his proud parents, Thomas and Agnieszka Wasilewski. He has 3 siblings, an older sister, Monika; two younger sisters; Julia and Leah. Paul attended an all boys school in Lincroft, New Jersey, and for a short period of time he attended Marlboro High School. In his junior year, he got a role on “Guiding Light” as Max Nickerson. Paul needed something to accommodate his acting schedule so he transferred to Lakewood Prep School in Howell, New Jersey. He then graduated from Lakewood Prep in 2000 and attended college. After one semester, Paul left college and was offered more roles and he decided he could make a better career out of acting. Paul speaks fluent Polish and spent four months of every year in Poland until he was the age of 16. Paul began to credit himself as Paul Wesley because his last name was difficult for people to pronounce. He has appeared in such shows as 24, 8 Simple Rules, Army Wives, Everwood, Guiding Light, Smallville and The O.C. Paul enjoys playing ice hockey and snowboarding. He has also expressed an interest in writing and directing. Kookie fact: Paul has naturally pointy canine teeth, which were noticed after he was cast on The Vampire Diaries.
